Kids Read and get Rewarded!
Just because the School year comes to an end doesn't mean the learning needs to! Reading plays such an important role in everyones lives. Whether your child can read on their own or you enjoy reading aloud we have something to keep the momentum going. There are some great Summer Reading Programs and MacKid has a listing for you!
Barnes & Noble Summer Reading
* Kids Read any 8 Books and Record them in the Reading Journal. Then bring the completed Reading Journal to your Local Barnes & Noble and Choose any FREE Book from the selection listed on the Journal! Runs Through September 4th. Limited to one Free book per child.
Chuck E. Cheese
Kids get 10 Free tokens each time they read for 2 weeks in a row! Limited to one of any Free token offers per child and food purchase is required. Download a Reading Rewards Calendar.
Pottery Barn Kids
Summer Reading Challenge. Readers can choose from the Award winning book list or the Early Readers list for those who will need to read aloud. Find the listing of books Here. Read throughout the summer and then complete the certificate. Once completed, bring it into your local Pottery Barn Kids and your child can Choose a Free book, plus they can get entered to win a backpack stuffed with books!
Summer Break Reading Challenge. From June 15th - August 15th kids who were in grades K-6, read 5 books throughout summer and they will be eligible to enter to win a "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" Summer Fun package including Books, DVDs, a "Greg" plush and a $20 Visa Gift Card. Minnesota Twins Summer Reading Program
Children ages 14 and under can join the fun! Rewards will be awarded based on the total number of minutes that are read throughout the summer months. It will be based off of 400, 800 and 1200 minute increments. There will be 200 lucky readers in the 1,200 minute category will be randomly chosen to participate in a player

Scholastic Summer Challenge
Kids can log their reading minutes into the Scholastic site and may win Cool Rewards and prizes!
Half Price Books
Feed your Brain Summer Reading Program. Kids 14 and under read for at least 15 minutes a day for a month. Grown ups can read aloud to kids who are still learning if need be. Add up all your minutes and have a parent or guardian initial each week. Once you've read 300 minutes, turn in your complete reading log to earn your $5 Back to School Bucks reading reward for the month. One top reader per age group each month will be awarded a $20 HPB gift card.
Book Adventure. Kids grades K-8 can find a book to read, take quizzes on what they've read and then earn prizes! Once your child has read enough to accumulate more points, then they can trade them in for prizes.
