11/3/2020 ~ Weekly Publisher Note

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher November 3, 2020

Hello Friends,

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate you all! Did you have fun with the kids for Halloween? It was so fun to see all the cute little kids in costumes and enjoying the day. I wish we could all see life through the eyes of a child every single day. Life would be so much less stressful wouldn't it? Pandemic or not, we found ways to make Halloween memorable. Now onto election week.

This year's election is no different. We find ways. This year I chose to mail my ballot in early and track it's progress. You too can do so here.  First I was able to see when it was received and then when it was counted. If you haven't mailed your ballot in you can still drop your ballot off, vote early in person, or go on Election Day. It is our constitutional right to vote and everyone's vote counts. I will be so happy when the election is over however. There has been way too much tension and negativity during this election. It is my hope that no matter who wins, that we can accept the decision and make this world a better place. It is important to me that we all work together to create an environment that our kids can be proud of. can thrive in, that can get beyond this pandemic, and get back to life as we once knew it.

This right to vote is the basic right without which all others are meaningless.

It gives people, people as individuals, control over their own destinies.

Coronavirus Update!

We are doing our best to stay on top of event cancellations.

Please check the venue for event updates before heading out. Don't forget to explore our Articles and Guides to Find Your Family Fun! I have removed events from the calendar but please know we will stay focused on updating events once we are told that it is safe to bring your kids and families out to events again. It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Thanks for your support as we continue to stay focused on our families while providing you with at home activities to use as a resource if you are looking for ways to fill your days at home with the kids.

I will be sharing resources on our Facebook Page too so be sure to check it out.

Stay healthy and Have a great week!
