Welcome~
How is the shelter in place going at your home? I have given myself some time to explore other interests that I haven't found time to do because life seemed so busy. I have to say that while it seems like forever that we have been at home, I have worked hard to find the positives in it all even if it has been difficult to do some days. I am speaking for myself but maybe some of you can relate. We work so hard for our families and almost to the point of obsessive. We want the best for our family but is it worth working so much that your kids grow up without you being much of a part of it? We have to learn when to draw the line and when enough is never enough. We strive to be better than our neighbors, a bigger house, a better car, multiple vacations in a year, etc. I really do not want to advocate for not working either. That is NOT realistic at all, but maybe be more productive when you do work and then put work down and enjoy life. I know we are all stressing over our jobs. Small businesses are failing and we are all trying so hard to support the small businesses that we frequented prior to the pandemic. They really enjoy your curbside pick up and online orders and let's face it but isn't it nice to take a break from the kitchen? Give yourself some grace during this time. It's how we handle this time that brings our family the sense of peace or panic. Choosing to be calm and following the guidelines set in place by our state will help to keep our family's healthy. Your kids may not show their appreciation for all you do now, but believe me they will look back on this and feel grateful for all you did for them and how you loved and protected them. I know as adults this COVID-19 has been almost too much to deal with and stress over. It seems so overwhelming but I can just imagine how the kids are feeling. We have had tears over missing friends, the possibility of missing their birthdays, etc. I do know that they have enjoyed the down time and love the creativity that is shining through with the extra home time they have.
Thanks so much for continuing to support Macaroni Kid during this time. We have been trying to be flexible and continue to bring to you content that is helpful and beneficial to your family as we navigate these uncertain times. I can't wait for the day we can once again fill the calendar with events that we will all feel safe to attend.

Coronavirus Update!
We are doing our best to stay on top of event cancellations.
Please check the venue for event updates before heading out. Don't forget to explore our Articles and Guides to Find Your Family Fun! I have removed events from the calendar but please know we will stay focused on updating events once we are told that it is safe to bring your kids and families out to events again. It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.
Thanks for your support as we continue to stay focused on our families while providing you with at home activities to use as a resource if you are looking for ways to fill your days at home with the kids.
I will be sharing resources on our Facebook Page too so be sure to check it out.
Stay healthy and Have a great week!
